wow what a game, players to the masons were shocked and rocked as new signing alex ( axel). Romped home to take the game.

In what was a tense battle of wills, players fought cautiously at first to maintain a good stack, whilst not wanting to lose championship points. John (millsy) mills was the first taken to pieces by andy lee (badger) smith and axel. followed by pete (lordy) lord was taken out by another full house again, hes a sucker for them. I did well to finish 4th considering the cards I was dealt, going all in low stacked on snowmen against a3 only to see two aces and one 3 on the flop and another 3 community just to add insult to injury. Need less to say I was gutted didn’t even have the chance to get my hand in the cookie jar this week; thanks to axel ; though justice will be sweet and served next week. Axel went on to be chip leader and then proceeded to take each person out one by one to become house champion as did lewis(wiss) hanson took the next the next two out in a amazingly mad move going all in on pocket 99 two more went all in and hit straights but the river paired the tens on the board and gave wiss the full house.

What a night of mad luck skill and audacity. Roll on next week. Will milllsy ever get past sixth, will double deuce ever win a game and will badger ever get past his mental second place spot on the tables…….

Rowarth strikes back….. The newbie luck was in full flow at the masons as, dazbo1967 reached the last table with 900 chips; ten times less than top six stacks and kicked some poker butt.

He went all in on a7, vs kk and 22. Won on the river with ace. He then proceeded to triple up again and before we knew what was going on he was chip leader by some 6k. Donald aka double deuce or me (came in second yet again, caught with my hand in the cookie jar). And philicious Hughes came in third after a rush of blood. Many players fell to decent hands, trip aces were thrashed with full house twice and in stark contrast ten high won 4k. Much better turn out if we keep this up there may well be a huge following at the masons on a Wednesday night, as before all are welcome though with a starting amount of 13 (11reg) the future looks bright. Dont forget earn your journeyman badge( if you think your good enough ) by playing at the masons…..

The first poker pockets at the Masons arms has been played, numbers were a bit low but were growing. Well done to Lewis Hanson for picking up his first win, and to me,  Donald, for coming second (gutted). The next game will be on wed 30th July good luck all, and any one out there want to fill there trophy cabinet come along and get your journey title ( if you can lol ).

our next game at the masons this wed 23rd. This will be our first poker pockets tourney, we do play every Sunday and welcome all-comers to try their luck, although newbies will find the going tough lol.
